Where is Split Panes in Microsoft Excel 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 and 365?

Excel provides a function which will split your worksheet into independent panes so as to view and edit data easily. You can split the worksheet horizontally or vertically. One question is, when upgrading the Office from 2003 version to 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 and 365, many users find it hard to get this function. They do not know where to find out the option. Find the feautre on Classic Menu


Just take Microsoft Excel 2010 for example, which is similar as in Excel 2007/2013. With Classic Menu for Excel 2007/2010/2013/2016/2019 installed, you can click Menus tab to get back the classic style interface.

  • On Menus tab, click Window menu

  • Choose the Split in the menu

  • Click View tab

  • Move to Window group

  • Click the Split button
